Colt US Army model 1911-A1 semi-automatic pistol, .45 ACP caliber, pre-war with blued finish and original fully checkered walnut grips, CSR inspector mark on frame, shipped December 27th, 1940 to Springfield Armory, see Colt 45 Service Pistols by Charles Clawson page 396, 5'' barrel. SN 721090 C&R
