Colt Lightning slide action rifle, .38 caliber, made in 1884, the first year of manufacture, with walnut stock and crescent butt plate, 25" barrel. SN #712
Fair overall condition, all metal turning brown, handling marks and indents to buttstock, small chip to forend, upper tang with small chip, rear tang drilled for sight, metal lightly polished, good bore with strong rifling, non-functioning (does not feed, loading gate does not open all the way).
