Christian Alsdorf(Earl Township Artist, Southeastern Pennsylvania, active 1789-1821) - Fraktur vorschrift, hand-drawn watercolor and ink on laid paper, for Johannes Luen, 1809, with central detailed red and black German script, flanked by panels with double headed eagles over elaborate floral trees, executed in shades of red, yellow, green, blue, and black, all within a green border with blocked corners, a superb example, 8" x 13", retaining an early carved frame with blocked corners.
