Chester County, Pennsylvania walnut cellarette, late 18th c., with dovetailed case and molded base, retaining its original wrought iron fishtail hinges and brass side carrying handles, 14 1/4" h., 14 1/2" w. Provenance: Edgar and Charlotte Sittig, 1959.
Secondary wood: yellow pine (base) and walnut (rear). Depth - 10 1/2". Interior dividers present. Split in lid. Missing lock. Large patch at closure and escutcheon. Chip at center dovetail.
