Chester County, Pennsylvania Chippendale walnut tall case clock, 18th c., the broken arch bonnet bearing the mother of pearl inlaid date "1771", enclosing a 30-hour works with a brass face with foliate engraving and a round name boss, inscribed "Bentley Darlington", the waist with an elaborate "double fielded" and marquetry inlaid door with flying birds, above an 8-pointed star, above 2 hunters, one with a falcon, the other with a bow, over a stylized street scene with tavern, all over a carved panel supported by a boldly molded base, 98 1/4" h.
