Chester County, Pennsylvania Chippendale flame walnut tall case clock, ca. 1800, the broken arch bonnet enclosing an 8-day works, signed "Abm Corl East Nantmeal", over a case with fluted quarter columns supported by ogee bracket feet, 95 1/2" h.
Condition
Parts: winder, pendulum. Moon phase dial with raised gilt beading and gilt "sun" spandrels well preserved, with some wear and ivory ground inpainting. Movement complete and intact. Rosettes are earlier replacements. Lacking second hand. Minor inpainting on face. Repair to bottom 1" of feet. Excellent proportions.
