Centre County, Pennsylvania painted pine dower chest, ca. 1815, having three drawers over a scalloped apron, all resting on flared French feet, retaining its original red and blue hex and star decoration on an ivory background, with a yellow background behind the drawers, 31" h., 49" w.
Missing keeper for lock, with till, original brasses, metal brackets added to all feet for support, minor losses to drawer lips, sporadic surface abrasions.
