Central Pennsylvania painted pine diminutive chest of drawers, ca. 1835, with a molded edge oblong top overhanging a stepped upper drawer flanked by gilt painted bellflower chains over two lower drawers, flanked by ebonized half columns, above a scalloped skirt with punched edge and central star resting on tall delicate turned legs, the case retaining its original red stained surface, 38" h., 32 1/2" w.
Excellent original condition. Original pulls. Old dry surface. May have had a backsplash.
