Carved and painted pine dresser box, ca. 1835, probably New York, decorated on lid and sides with relief baskets of fruit, supported by animal paw feet with cornucopia returns, retaining its original red and green surface, 7 3/4" h., 12 1/4" w.
Small scattered abrasions, 1/2" x 1/2" loss to rear edge of side and a couple losses to applied carving on sides. Provenance: The Collection of George Dittmar, Low Meadow Farm, Cream Ridge, New Jersey.
