Butterville, New York navy blue and white jacquard coverlet by Harry Tyler, the two corner blocks depicting a full bodied lion, inscribed "1843 R.T.", the border with willow, eagle, star, and fruit tree decoration, the interior with rose and floral medallions and sunbursts, 84" x 90". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 94 and 95.
Some wear and loss to top edge and a little on sides. A few small losses to blue. Overall very good.
