Boston William & Mary walnut, maple and painted pine tavern table, ca. 1730, the rectangular molded edge top over a frame with single drawer supported by blocked and turned legs joined by high and low baluster and ring turned stretchers, retaining an old painted black surface, 28" h., 34 1/4" w.
Woods should read walnut, maple and painted pine, not birch, maple and painted pine. Pulls period, but probably replaced. Top reset but original. 1/2" strips added to frame due to shrinkage. Rear stretcher replaced.
