Boston silver cann, attributed to William Cowell, mid 18th c., the baluster shape with a molded rim, scrolled handle, and footed base, inscribed "IHP" on underside, 5 3/8" h., approx. 12.2 troy oz. An identical cann with the same initials was sold in the Collection of May and Howard Joynt, Christie's, January 19, 1990, lot. 273.
