Boston Queen Anne walnut dining chair, ca. 1760, with a shell carved crest, compass seat and trifid foot. A matching chair is illustrated in New England Furniture at Winterthur Queen Anne and Chippendale Periods, fig. 25.
Condition
Splat originally veneered. Two knee returns replaced. Repaired break to rear leg. Chip to rear edge of shell on crest.
