Berks County, Pennsylvania painted two part Dutch cupboard dated 1849, the upper section with a molded cornice and two glazed doors, above five tiger maple candle drawers, flanked by molded pilasters with bull's-eye capitals and plinths, resting on a lower section with three short drawers and two cupboard doors with recessed octagonal panels supported by turned feet, retaining its original pristine surface with orange and salmon swirl decoration and red moldings, 81 1/2" h., 52 3/4" w. A nearly identical cupboard from the same shop, now in the collection of Landis Valley Museum and bears the signature of Benj. Blatt dated 1841.
