Berks County, Pennsylvania painted pine tall case clock, ca. 1810, the broken arch bonnet enclosing an eight-day works with painted face, above a case with fan carved door flanked by fluted corner columns, over a base with recessed tombstone panel supported by ogee bracket feet, retaining its original orange grain decorated surface, 91" h.

Condition

2 finials with small losses to base rim. 2" chip to back left corner of hood. Moon dial with flaking and paint loss. Scenic panel with ship has heavy loss. Dial with 2 circular abrasions with small paint loss where posts connect from back. Inscribed with name and date 1823 under seatboard. Feet ended out from 1/2" to 3". Works probably associated with case.
