Berks County, Pennsylvania painted pine dower chest dated 1798, inscribed "LW D30 Novembre", the facade decorated with 2 tombstone panels with potted flowers and columnar sides flanked by heart corners on an ochre sponge ground, 22 3/4" h., 45 3/4" w.
Till lid replaced. Lacking look. Otherwise in very good condition.
