Berks County, Pennsylvania painted dower chest, dated 1789, the front adorned with elaborate potted flowers on an ochre sponged ground above three drawers and straight bracket feet, 25 1/2'' h., 47 1/4'' w. Provenance: Private collection, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
Original strap hinges. Lacking lock. Feet and base molding replaced. Large repaired breaks to drawer fronts with touch-up.
