Berks County, Pennsylvania Chippendale poplar tall case clock, ca. 1800, the broken arch bonnet enclosing a thirty-hour works with painted face, signed Henry Hahn, Reading.

Condition

92 1/2" h. Poplar (NOT cherry). Finials are original. Escutcheon replaced. Repaired break to one rear foot facing. Flaking to top left of dial. Touch-up to dial (repainted numbers, moon phase and maps). Works are brass. Works appear original to the clock. Old painted surface, but not original to clock (several layers of paint, background probably original). Unknown if in running order.
