Berks County painted poplar dower chest, mid-19th c., retaining its original panels, with potted tulips on a red ground and heart corners, 24 1/2" h., 40" w. The chest remains in a wonderful state of preservation with its entire lid decoration intact. Provenance: John Willoughby; Charles Idering; The Estate of Peter Tillou.
