Ballard No. 6 Schuetzen falling block single shot target rifle, approximately .38 caliber, with set triggers with scroll engraved receiver with stag and bear vignettes, checkered walnut stock with cheek rest, Swiss style steel butt plate, Vernier tang rear sight and adjustable globe front sight, 28 1/2" octagonal to round barrel. Provenance: The Firearms & Militaria Collection of Robert Spangler Jr., West Chester, Pennsylvania. Fine overall condition, barrel with grey patina and receiver showing case colors, there is a 1/2" chip out of the buttstock at the junction with the receiver, buttstock is loose against the receiver, bright bore with strong rifling.
