Attributed to Win Achun and others, pair of watercolor on paper Chinese botanical drawings, depicting flowering plants with bud and flower detail at different stages of maturity, inscribed lower right, 15 1/2" x 20 3/4". Accompanied by Peter Tillou letterhead, inscribed on verso executed for the late J. Roberts, Esq. (a director and chairman of the East India Company) and sold by order of his executors. and listed with the auction catalogue of Wentworth Henry Canning, 2nd Viscount Allendale. Provenance: The Estate of Peter Tillou.

Condition

Overall good condition. Very light toning. Paper has become a little wavy near edges. Areas of light discoloration on plant that resembles a lilac. 1" line or smudge near left edge of tree branch.
