Attic black figure trefoil oinochoe, 530-510 B.C., with Dionysus and a satyr, 8 3/4" h. Published: Stähler, Boreas 2, 1979, plate 28. Provenance: A private European collection, acquired prior to 1979, A New Jersey collection, 1994 and later purchased in 2012 from Hixenbaugh Ancient Art, New York. Lot includes associated paperwork.
8 1/2" h., 5" w. Spout repaired. Provenance: A Pennsylvania estate. All of the ancient art and antiquities in this sale are from the same estate. An ancient art specialist was brought in from New York to assist with authenticating and describing the pieces in the collection.
