Appliqué whig rose quilt, late 19th c., 82" x 84", together with an appliqué star and daisy summer quilt, 81" x 81".
Whig rose - fading to flowers, stains, 1/2" x 1" tear to background, losses to pink flowers, nine stitches per inch. Other - losses to edges, stains, fraying at edges, separations. Provenance: The Collection of Foster & Muriel McCarl, Beaver Falls, PA.
