Amish wool pieced quilt, 19th c., in a center diamond pattern with a grey back, brick border, and purple and dark aqua center, 81" x 82". Provenance: Grandmother of Mrs. Daniel Look, Intercourse in 1977, aged 75 at time of purchase.
Red in catalogue photograph is not the true color. Color is brick/brownish red NOT cherry (other colors are purple and teal). Reverse side is a silver gray. Origin unknown. Quilting is plum, flower, pinwheel inside of square, small diamond. No apparent fading. Minor soiling. Good condition. No apparent damages or repairs.
