American wrought iron utensil rack with 6 utensils, 19th c., to include a fork, signed "I. Dewald 1881", a strainer signed "W. Noble", a fork signed "J. Schmidt 1843", a ladle with brass bowl signed "J. Schmidt", a taster by Schmidt, marked "1846", and a spatula with cutouts signed "E.P. Sebastian". Pictured on the front cover of The Magazine Antiques, April 1977. Illustrated in Colonial Wrought Iron the Sorber Collection by Plummer, pg. 25, fig. 1-50.
Small loss to bowl of larger Schmidt ladle. Otherwise very good condition.
