American redware mug of political interest, ca. 1876, inscribed The Tilden and Hendricks Noggin, referring to the losers of the disputed 1876 presidential campaign against Rutherford Hayes, in which Tilden and Hendricks won the popular vote but lost in the electoral college, 6" h.

Condition

Description should read: Pennsylvania redware, 19th c., to include two flower pots, a spittoon, and a ruffled edge bowl, tallest - 4 1/2" h. Bowl - glaze loss along ruffled edge, rim chips, two gouges to underside of base. Spotted flower pot - several repairs to rim, rim chips, glaze loss throughout, undertray rim chips, roughness, base rim chips. Pot with black wavy line - minor glaze loss to rim, base rim chips. Four pieces total.
