Abraham Brubaker(Huber Artist, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, active 1790-1829) - Vorschrift, hand-drawn watercolor and ink on laid paper, done for Henrich Huber, 1790, inscribed on the first line of text "Wolan Alle" (woe to all) in finely executed red, yellow, and black lettering over red and black script, all surrounded by a border of trailing leafy vines, tulips, various stylized flowers and 2 birds, executed in bright shades of red, yellow, blue, and green, 12 1/2" x 15 1/2". Pictured in Fraktur Writings or Illuminated Manuscripts by Dr. Donald A. Shelley, color plate 2 and plate 35. Dr. Shelley originally assigned the name "Huber Artist".
